Silver of the White Heart :)

Adil is married 15 years, has two daughters, and a wife who epitomizes all that is perfect in a Kuwaiti wife: looks, motherly affection, devotion to husband’s family, and an amount of love that is not weathered by circumstances. The Adil meets Sahar. And Adil falls in love with Sahar. Sahar, pregnant and abandoned by a man who married her but never authenticated the papers (thus leaving her with a possible bastard child), and lacking in motherly affection (her mother is more attentive and caring for the mentally challenged daughter of her old employer than to her own daughter), finds herself, in the midst of this roller coaster, naturally clinging to a stranger’s affection, and loves Adil back.
So far not a bad plot line, in spite of the absurdly annoying acting of almost all characters, and in spite of the lack of insight into the human nature that results in this exchange of love, and in spite of the perfect goodness of Dalal (Adils’ wife) and the perfect evil of Faika (Huda Hussain, another story, another family).
But today the plot thickens. Now Adil’s brother Adnan (a pilot who has two daughters from two separate ex-wives, one of which international) discovers his brother’s infidelity. And Adnan, who up to this moment was portrayed as the drunk playboy who was almost willing to give up his daughters, is now attempting to steer Adil back to the path of righteousness by … can you guess? Trying to win Sahar’s heart in a challenge he put for his brother: If I don’t win Sahar within a week, I will personally facilitate your marriage to her. His certainty is bewildering. What is it saying about Sahar? That her love is fake and she can easily be won by any man? Or is it showing us viewers that Sahar is indeed a woman in distress, and as such, has been vultured upon by Adil who, finding himself in need of love, grabs at the easiest prey?

Pardon me, dear readers. I find myself drawn, in Ramadan, to the essential duty of viewing at lease one badly-written, worse-acted Kuwaiti show.

Oh and if anyone is the vulture its Sa7ar! Now i think Qutaiba was right to treat her that way, 6la3at 3ayara o 6am3ana....wela tgol 7g ilrayal laish zojtik bitnam 3indik.....6a3 hathi !!

Ana ma3a DR. Compared to last years' local series, Silver isn't bad at all.

وأدعو الواحد القهار أن تكون قطايف الليلة لذيذة كقطايف البارحة

jewaira. So what's yours?
amethyst. No, thanks? But how will you get my criticism and sarcasm at the show when the term begins? :)
delicately realistic. Yes Su3ad is funny. But this role would've been more suited to a less prominent actress maybe. And Sahar is a pregnant women just jilted by her husband. Don't you think her mental and emotional states are not ones to allow her proper thinking?
shurouq. You mean to tell me this is better than 3irs el-dam? :P
Now let me sample those qatayif

lol.. I've forbidden myself from watching Khaliji TV shows this Ramadan.

I believe that we have enough drama in our lives to deal with :p

I hate Sahar! I think she's the only actress that I would support to have plastic surgery done! Or to put on some makeup... or ANYTHING that would make her less... of herself!!!

why not silver; blue heart? :(

Hahahahahahha!

That was great :)

I am not good at handling these highly emotional and soap operatic imaginary/based on reality scandalous social dramas. They make me anxious and my poor nerves just get shot even more than they already are. I am just a big old wuss.

I must say the one series I do like is "Al-Dayah". Anything to do with old Kuwait and the culture of that time fascinates me very much. I loved last Ramadan's Arabian desert bedouin series (forgot the name - its 6:00AM and I am punchy). It was fantastically intense!

alia.
the archer. I guess I don't have enough drama in my life then ;)
disturbed stranger. Her heart isn't bruised up. Otherwise, its blue nature would make sense.
And poor Sahar, why are you and delicately realistic so against her when it's the men who keep messing her up (you should've seen today's episode)
ms baker. If you watch AlDayah then you're immune to any other Ramadani drama. Nothing beats Hayat Al-Fahad's dramas. Silver is really light and humorous most of the time, in spite of its attempt to pose as drama.
I can't handle bedouin shows though. Most of the time I don't understand what they're saying.

Mo thats the thing...we wouldnt have given any other actress the time of day if she played that same role... because its So3ad u just have to watch! So3ad gives any role charisma, u just cant wait until she comes up in any scene....

Alia....my fellow TV addict....3ad tadren ini astanis laman So3ad 3abdullah tabchi/teth7ak...madri laish asadig o a7is ina sij!

Maybe i sympathise so much cuz awal ma shift So3ad tethakart my dad's cousin. Shes almost the same age, looks the same, walks the same and has a similar mental impairment if not a little more.

O Huda 7sain badi3at hal sina! In both mosalsalat....is anyone watching 3yoon il7ob? Sij hal sina radait a7ibha nafs ayam masra7iyat'ha o mosalsal Al3a2ila....!!

Dear hanan
I know its funny
but since your a good writer why dont you write a story for kuwait to view during Ramadhan instead of these stupid stories i havent watched for years and maybe stopped watching at all.
Maybe we can all work on that
