Sadly enough that's the mentality of the majority of people in this country and that's just sick.
However, a cute fact that I learned recently is that Christmas isn't even the actual date of the birth of Jesus. Hell it has not that much of an important date because no one actually knows the true date of birth of Jesus Christ it is more of celebrating the Winter Festival than anything else. Except it happens to be tied to a certain religion hence why everyone berates the celebrating bit.
Christmas is a Pagan holiday. It's not even Christian. It was banned from I'm not sure when till the 1800's by the Church itself. By the looks of it in the States it's strictly a commercial holiday. Nothing religious about it at all. A business holiday basically all about ties for daddy to G.I. Joes for little Johnny.
i'ma find that poster and spray paint "merry Christmas!" on it :D
just as christmas is now more commercial and really more about spending time with family, EID has become just as pointless, with the focus now on new clothes/car/impressing friends/cash gifts to kids.
haven't noticed that poster today so Hanan, you ask me to cheer up, how do I do that? I feel insulted all the time, I don't quite understand my feelings, but this is how I feel...insulted...
Why is everyone pissed off at somone's opinion? Isin't freedom of speech granted to all? Celebrate Christmas and let them spend money on those fancy posters.
Equalizer, they imply that if you wish someone a merry xmas then you're no longer a muslim, you're a heretic since you are insulting Allah.
It's true that they have the right to say whatever they wish, but accusing others of heresy is slander, which is illegal, and definitely not sanctioned by the constitution.

I wonder what the christian drs. think of these posters, and I dread to know what they think of us!!!
