Attack, Destruction, Occupation, Enemies

From Arabic School Book, Year 7

Is it just me or is this a little aggressive, or a call to be aggressive? Is talk about enemies the best of topics for 12 year-old school kids?

I love helping my son with his Arabic language studies and homework, but the subject matter ticks me off. Among other words, I had to teach him these:

اعتداء
قضاء
احتلال
أعداء

A criminal mind in the making :(

Bravo Hanan; and this is not the only thing that they teach in Arabic schools, I would like to see more of this on your blog since you have an access to that to show what our country is getting itself into by leaving everything to Islamists in the Education system.

unfortunately this is what is being taught in our school's curriculums... I personally think that the whole education system needs to be reformed and looked upon more carefully and they have to start by employing devoted teachers who are there to provide for the students an educational environment full of experience and reinforcement not to teach their lesson get their pay and leave, and these are the majority in the public schools now.
Finally I truly respect and appreciate the few teachers out there who are doing an excellent job individually in educating our kids of tomorrow.

I haven't been reading your blog for a long time, so i thought i'd visit today. My comment: School environments? well it's not only topics & teachers, even kids. My 8 years-0ld daughter don't fast and she is used to take her snack box with her to school but nowadays she doesn't want to. Why? 'cause other kids (her age) call her "CHALBAT RMUTHAN" if they see her eat in Ramadan at school....
